All riding hats must be the minimum of PAS 015:2011, VG1. Click here for full List of accepted hat standards. On arrival your hat will be checked and tagged by a member of staff. If your hat dose not meet the current standard you will be asked to borrow one. This also applies if we feel your hat is not correctly fitted or shows signs of wear/damage.
We ask all riders to wear body protectors to the minimum standard of BETA 2018. If you do not have your own we have them available to hire.
Riding boots are a safety item and should have a small tread and a heel that is 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch high. This will prevent your footfrom slipping through the stirrup.
For your initial lesson if you do not have riding boots you should attend in a sold shoe/boot. Usually walking boots are unsuitable for riding due to the chucky sole and width. If we feel your footwear is not appropriate you may be declined to ride or remain only on the lunge/lead rein.
We ask that whilst riding your shoulders are covered for protection. If you do not have riding jodhpurs. Jogging bottoms or gym leggings are appropriate. Legs must be fully covered. Shorts or skirts are not suitable. You should avoid jeans with thick seams as this can be uncomfortable.
Long hair should be tied back at the nape of the neck. With no hair bands / pins under the riding hats as they cause pressure points.
