The Horses

Alfie is a 16.3hh warmblood gelding, being ideal for our taller riders. Alfie is a good allrounder that enjoys flatwork, jumping and hacking. 

Trevor is a 15.2hh skewbald Gelding, that often takes part in all activities including Show jumping, Dressage, Cross country, Pleasure rides and much more. He is popular with riders from beginner through to advanced, teaching children and adults. 

Shadow is a 13hh show pony x Dartmoor gelding, prior to joining the riding school Shadow was Kelsey’s and Tally’s competition pony. Shadow has competed at BRC and Pony Club championships. He is a very talented little pony quite easily jumping 90cm courses and schooling at elementary dressage. 

Basil is a 14hh Irish sports pony. He has competed in Showing, Dressage and Jumping, along with pleasure rides. Basil is popular with the teens and small adults, he is the perfect allrounder. 

Alhin is a 16.2hh Belguim Draft. He is a forward going ride being suitied to the more establised rider. He is currently showing real potential on the flat and we hope to compete him this summer. He is a dream to hack with a ground covering stride making him very comfortable. 

Ginger is a 11hh Registered Dartmoor mare, She is a versatile pony who is as happy to be on a lead rein or jumping a courses of 60cm. 

Clover is a 13.2hh Welsh mare, she is a real favourite for children, teenagers, and small adults. She is well schooled on the flat and a brilliant confidence giver over a fence.

Fergus is a 13'2hh cob. Fergus is still continuing his education and is on his way to being a wonderful allrounder.

Maggie 

Juno is a 15'1hh warmblood. She has previously evented up to BE90 with Tally, who now regularly competes her in British Dressage up to Novice, whilst being schooled to BD Medium and showjumping up to 1.05m. Juno is a schoolmistress in all aspects of riding.

Mowgli is a 13'1hh Welsh Section B. Mog has previously been competed by Kelsey and was proven to be a very successful allrounder including, showing, gymkhana and being a fast jumping pony.

Bailey is a 15'3hh Irish Sports Horse, who has been competed by both Kelsey and Tally. He is a grassroots eventer.

Arty is a 16'2 Hanoverian x TB, who in his early days competed as an eventer along with being a hunt horse.  Arty is one of our eldest horses here at The Chestnut Stables, however still loves to take part in the majority of activities especially hacking.
